The town of Samastipur in Bihar, India has a peculiar tradition. Once a year, the people grab a snake, head out into the streets and just kinda hang out, I guess.

This is the “Samastipur Snake Fair,” and every iteration has seen hundreds of participants come to the town in order to show off their snakes (not a euphemism) for other snake lovers (also not a euphemism).

It’s unclear if all of these snakes are harmless, or if these people have a death wish, but you can count me out of ever attending.
